My academic training bridges molecular science and population health. I earned a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a research focus on transcriptomics and oncology, leveraging computational tools to uncover gene expression patterns in prostate cancer. My Master of Public Health grounded my work in a deep understanding of health disparities, population-level trends, and real-world impact. Together, these degrees form a strong foundation in translational research—connecting discoveries from the lab bench to clinical care, and ultimately, to the communities they’re meant to serve.
Professional Experience:

Program Management:
Driving alignment across research, translational medicine, and early clinical development teams to accelerate the development of innovative therapies. I lead strategic planning and execution to turn early scientific discoveries into meaningful advances for patients.

Public Health Research:
Rooted in public health training and enriched by published research and community-based participatory work, my approach blends academic rigor with real-world impact. I lead with a servant leadership mindset—building bridges across community, academic, and industry sectors to advance health equity, inform inclusive policy, and challenge systemic barriers. My ongoing advocacy ensures that public health solutions remain grounded in evidence, equity, and the lived experiences of the communities they’re designed to serve.
Community Experience:
Health Communication:
As creator and co-host of For the Culture Podcast, I help bridge the gap between science and society by engaging in accessible, culturally
relevant conversations about research, health, and equity. With over 40 episodes, the podcast has become a platform for demystifying science and amplifying underrepresented voices, fostering greater connection and understanding within the scientific community and beyond.

Mentorship and Advocacy:
I’m deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of diverse STEM leaders—guiding students from high school through graduate school on their academic, professional, and personal journeys. Through partnerships with organizations like the Scholar Mentoring & Development Program (SMDP) and Black in Cancer, I support aspiring scientists—especially those from underserved communities—in navigating careers in science and biotech. I work to build a more inclusive and empowered STEM ecosystem where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Speaking Engagements & Panels:
I’m passionate about using my voice to bridge science, equity, and empowerment—whether through panels, keynotes, or community events. I create space for dialogue that challenges norms, uplifts underrepresented voices, and translates complex topics into accessible, engaging information. Through Toastmasters, I’ve sharpened my skills and earned recognition as a contest winner, deepening my commitment to impactful, purpose-driven communication that informs and inspires.
